I was inspired by the #BellLetsTalk project to write this message. Thanks to initiatives like them, we are becoming aware of the importance of being open about mental illnesses. It is something that is so common and I believe everyone has some sort of mental health issue, which is perfectly okay. I believe that the most important thing we need is to have good support, even if that’s just one person we can talk to about it. I know because I am saying this all from experience. I was able to feel good about myself when I was suffering from depression/anxiety. It wasn’t the meds that helped it was all the support I had from family/friends, having people to talk to, being open with it, and accepting it.
