An interesting article on why individuals may / may not tell their managers or bosses about their mental illness. This shows that there is definitely still a stigma around mental illnesses, even among adults: “When asked if they’d be concerned if a worker had a mental illness, 64 per cent said yes. More than four in 10 also indicated concerns about both reliability and safety.”
However, it also shows that people are willing to help, and doing what they can to help stop the stigma: “50 per cent said they were concerned because they’d want to help their co-worker.”
